About Us
We are a support network providing resources for marijuana abuse recovery in Brazos Valley of Texas. We are a non-profit that is not associated with any outside causes or organizations, we exist solely to help those struggling from marijuana abuse. We do not provide medical care or mental health counseling, but we may provide links and referrals to resources for those seeking such services. Nothing on this website is able to diagnose, treat, or cure marijuana abuse.
We understand the great danger of marijuana for some people despite its characterization as a harmless substance. We understand the grief it causes for the individual, their family, and their friends. This website is dedicated to helping those understand the varying effects of marijuana, and to help those find local support in the form of information, meetings, events, and external resources. Some of the meetings that we refer include:

Marijuana Anonymous
Marijuana Anonymous is a free peer-support program focused entirely on our shared problem with marijuana or cannabis addiction. Marijuana Anonymous uses the basic 12 Steps, founded by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Smart Recovery
SMART Recovery is an evidenced-informed recovery method grounded in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Program: 4-Point Recovery
SMART Recovery’s 4-Point Program is the organization’s flagship secular program serving those with an addictive behavior, including both substance and activity/process addictions. Trained volunteer facilitators lead effective mutual support group discussions on these topics:
- Building and maintaining motivation
- Coping with urges and cravings
- Managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
- Living a balanced life
Related tools consistent with evidence-based motivational and cognitive behavioral theories are also offered and discussed.
Specific audiences: Adults Welcome
Anyone 18 and over fitting the purpose of the above program is welcome to join the meeting. Please read the program description to make sure it’s the right meeting for you.

BVCASA provides a continuum of prevention, intervention and treatment services to address substance abuse and addiction in the Brazos Valley.
MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley
The MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley is a public non-profit community MHMR center. Through the Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), we have the administrative responsibility and authority to provide a continuum of mental health and intellectual and developmental disability services to eligible individuals who live in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties.
